Urinary Incontinence Study

If your canine companion has four or more incidences of inappropriate urination per week, they may be eligible to participate in a clinical study concerning canine urinary incontinence.

To participate your dog must meet the following criteria:

• At least 6 months old
• Weigh at least 14 pounds
• Healthy, non-pregnant and non-lactating
• Have a primary diagnosis of urinary incontinence due to sphincter hypotonus
• Has not received prior treatment for urinary incontinence with phenylpropanolamine (PPA)
• Has not received DES (hormone therapy) in the past two weeks
• Minimum of four (4) accidents per week
• Have owner consent
• Only one dog per household may participate

Study related expenses such as veterinary visits, medication and study care will be provided at no cost. Additionally, pet owners will be compensated for their dog’s participation.
