Stephen T. Pittenger, D.V.M., Dipl. A.B.V.P. (Canine
and Feline Practice)
Dr. Pittenger is chief of staff at Memorial-610 Hospital for Animals. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1995 from Texas A&M University. His areas of interest include nutrition, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, internal medicine and computer applications in veterinary medicine. Dr. Pittenger obtained his Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in Canine and Feline Practice in 2006. Dr. Pittenger is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, a past-president of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, (Past President), the Veterinary Information Network, the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Association of Pain Management, the International Association of Veterinary Pain Management and past president of the Association for Veterinary Informatics. Carlye D. Rose, D.V.M., Dipl. A.B.V.P. (Canine and
Feline Practice), C.V.A.
Dr. Rose joined Memorial-610 in 2001. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1996 from Oklahoma State University. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (acupuncture, herbology, food therapy). Dr. Rose obtained her Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in Canine and Feline Practice in 2003. She became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2009. Dr. Rose is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association (Past-President). In addition, she is a member of the Veterinary Information Network, the American Animal Hospital Association, the International Association of Veterinary Pain Management, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, and a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. Amy C. Garrou, D.V.M., Dipl. A.B.V.P. (Canine and

Dr. Garrou joined Memorial-610 Hospital for Animals in 2008. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2000 from Texas A&M University. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, endocrinology, soft tissue surgery, and cardiology. Dr. Garrou obtained her Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in Canine and Feline Practice in 2008. Dr. Garrou is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association (past board member), the Veterinary Information Network, and the International Association of Veterinary Pain Management. Nursing Staff
Blythe
Blythe joined our practice in April, 2000 after working in emergency medicine since she earned her degree from the Veterinary Technician program at Tomball College. Blythe also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in 1997. She has an interest in critical care medicine and is our lead nurse. Blythe is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America and the Texas Association of Registered Veterinary Technicians.
Liz
Liz joined Memorial-610 Hospital for Animals in 2001. Liz has a special interest in exotic and avian nursing care. She has extensive experience in the veterinary nursing field.
Angelica
Angelica joined our staff in 2003. She is a veterinary assistant and helps our nursing staff carry out their duties and care for the patients.
Gloria
Gloria originally joined our staff in the Bed and Bath. In 2007, she moved to a veterinary assistant position and helps our nursing staff carry out their duties and care for the patients.
Julie
Julie joined our staff in 2008 after she earned her degree from the Veterinary Technician program at Tomball College.

Chari joined the hospital staff in 1986. After a brief tour of duty at the world famous Texas Children's Hospital, Chari returned to the Memorial-610 Hospital staff in 1995. She helps with admission and discharge of patients and is our inventory/purchasing manager. Chari is a member of the Texas Association of Registered Veterinary Technicians.
